While I was wandering around and photographing this area I couldn't help but think how spectacular it would be to see in the fall, when the poplar trees are a sea of golden leaves. The color would contrast so well with the deep green and blue tones from the evergreen forest, and highlight the red from the exposed canyon walls.
I also couldn't help but notice that the tree standing alone was the one that caught my attention and was the tree that I focused on instead of the densely wooded area.
This fantastic tree (and those fantastic trees!) can be found at Cedar Breaks National Monument, in Utah.
